Maserati teams up with Zegna on fashion-forward Ghibli concept

Maserati Ghibli S Q4 by Zegna
Maserati teamed up with luxury fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna at the Paris motor show for a swanky Ghibli sedan concept. This is the second collaboration between the two brands after last year’s Quattroporte by Zegna at the Frankfurt show.

The Ghibli S Q4 is painted in a new tri-layer color called azzurro astro, and the 20-inch wheels are finished in liquid metal. Most of the fancy work is focused on the interior.

The leather seats keep their natural color, while silk is used in the hand-stitched seatbacks. The doors also wear Zegna silk with ornamental stitching in alternating colors. The gear selector gets a brushed aluminum finish, surrounded by carbon fiber, which looks a little out of place with all of the classic, soft-touch materials.

Even the floor mats get the Zegna treatment with leather inserts, embroidered Ghibli name and a natural leather edge. The buttons that hold the mats to the floor are made from billet aluminum. Remember that when you’re knocking the snow off your boots before you get in the car. Scratch that, you should probably just take your shoes off.

Those upgrades are about fashion, not function. Therefore the Ghibli keeps its twin-turbo V6 making 410 hp. The Q4 badge denotes all-wheel drive, which leads to a 0-62 mph time of 4.8 seconds.

Maserati also displayed its 2015 Quattroporte GTS, Granturismo MC Stradale, Grancabrio MC Centennial edition and the slick Alfieri concept first shown at the Geneva motor show.
